ABOUT US

Jaye Mckay, of Blue Jaye Design has a passion for practical, liveable spaces that, in addition to looking fantastic, function well.  A graduate of the Interior Design Institute, a Certified True Color Expert, and a Certified Staging Professional, Jaye offers expertise and experience in everything from conception of a new build to renovations, updates and staging.  Jaye has been involved in many projects from designing and overseeing several custom homes, to selecting furnishings, redesigning commercial spaces, finish selection, plan review and preparing homes to sell for top dollar.

Jaye stays current with what's happening in the design-world. With a can-do attitude and a true commitment to each client, each project is treated as if it were Jaye's own.  She has years of experience and considers functionality and low-maintenance high priority in any space she works on.

Jaye is a lover of the outdoors and an active lifestyle.  When not designing, she can be found skiing at Sun Peaks or kayaking in the Shuswap.  She even recently designed and general-contracted a rebuild of their dream lake home where her and her husband did much of the physical labour themselves.  This girl knows how to run a chop saw and install shiplap!
